The Best Camping Meals in Minutes

Something about camping makes everything you eat taste more delicious. The combination of fresh air and outdoor activities work up a hearty appetite. The best camping meals are simple to prepare and use basic ingredients so you can satisfy your hunger fast. Packaged foods are ideal for camping trips because they are easy to pack, quick to make and don’t require refrigeration.

Heating Things Up

A variety of heating sources are used for camping cooking including a camp stove, Dutch oven, barbecue grill, open campfire and/or even hot rocks.

I prefer cooking in a Dutch oven over a campfire because it offers the greatest number of options. These recipes are geared for a Dutch oven but can also be prepared on a camp stove, grill or over a fire. Remember to set an attractive table with a scenic view to fully appreciate the outdoor eating experience.

The following recipes feed a group of four and the quantities can be halved or doubled to feed smaller and larger groups.
